OVERVIEW

The EDP Transformation Challenge is an open innovation initiative by EDP Brazil in 2021, designed to find solutions that tackle the most pressing challenges in the energy sector. Startups had the opportunity to connect directly with one of the world’s largest energy companies, developing fast solutions and co-creating new businesses, whether or not they were already active in the energy sector.

Role

As a digital product designer for the EDP Transformation Challenge, an open innovation initiative by EDP Brasil and Liga Ventures, I was responsible for designing and building the campaign website. Collaborating closely with the Liga Ventures team, I created user-friendly interfaces and engaging digital assets to effectively showcase the challenge and its objectives.

I ensured the visual design aligned with EDP Brasil's brand identity, while highlighting the innovative spirit of the challenge. By blending creativity with strategic thinking, I helped drive participation and facilitated connections between startups and one of the world’s largest energy companies.

THE CONCEPT

The challenge’s concept aimed to attract startups with innovative solutions to enhance the customer journey for EDP Brazil’s core hydroelectric distribution service. To visually convey this, I focused on dynamic imagery that embodied action and collaboration, with teams and entrepreneurs in motion, using strong diagonal lines and expressive gestures.

This approach also aligned with EDP Brazil’s brand identity, featuring graphic elements representing the four primary energy sources: sun, water, wind, and earth. By blending these brand elements with an energetic visual language, the challenge’s message appealed to startups ready to drive meaningful innovation in energy.
